The Game Design Thread - Amateur Game Designers Welcome!

I've been an amateur game designer ever since I was a kid. It started with making a homebrew TCG out of index cards when I was young, then it shifted to RPGs on RPG maker, and now I've simultaneously working on a table-top strategy game that I've been play testing with a group of friends for a while now and an improved version of an old homebrew TCG.

So this episode of Extra Credits got me thinking:
